How to Never Give In: An Open Letter to Small Business Owners in Need of Motivation
Let me guess...
You're sitting around your work desk at home, completely alone, tired and unsettled, a bit frustrated even, all because you did the one thing you promised yourself countless times you would never do.
"What's that you ask?"
Simple answer: Change.
And not in a "Thank You, Lord, change is coming" kind of way either. But the worst kind of change. The one where you can't even look yourself in the face in your own reflection on your desktop screen because you're not man (or woman) enough to.
So you look away.
"Why?"
Because it is too late now. The damage is done. You have committed the ultimate sin against yourself: you became the worst version of yourself; by giving in.
So you're angry.
And as the anger builds, so does the grief and that bitter taste of despair, until you are drowned in the loneliness and coldness of your own thoughts.
Very true, yet profound words. I agree. But let's take them one step further with something Mahatma Gandhi also said. And here's what Gandhi said,
Ladies and gentlemen! The world we know has been shaken under our feet. Finding the motivation you need as a Small Business Owner has escaped you and drifted into the great beyond...
So now you're silent, worried, and in need of a lifeline.
Here are eighteen (18) surefire ways to find motivation - even if you feel like you're at your lowest as a Small Business Owner in 2025.
Something of note: "Digital Marketing was not, is not, and will never be a sprint! It is a road often traveled by the many that richly rewards the few. But if you're committed, willing, and able to put in the work; you'll stand to reap many benefits." - Robert Lewin
Here's the reality: "You don't need to reinvent the business wheel. (Neither of us does!) What you need to do instead is stay on top of it. By that I mean, having your focus on honing your skills as a marketer, leader, online guide, and motivator that is capable of creatively delivering his/ her's message to an audience via the written word: content marketing."
This period of time, where you get to sulk and roll around in the mud of your own pity party, was simply an opportunity for you to revisit your "why". You know, where you get to go back in time to rediscover why you got started on this journey in the first place. And to be fair, a trip down memory lane is really all some of us need to help us to get to that next stage in our development. (Yup, it's true!) I mean, online business space is about growth, after all, isn't it?
So don't allow this wave to pass you. The moment is right here, right now, so harness it. Allow AI and Digital Marketing to be your friends: they're the staircase that you should use to take your online business game to the next level - to further grow your audience and inspire the masses.
So don't sit around wasting time! Simply ACT! Take action ... that's what matters most: finding the motivation that you need. Once you do, you'll be happy you did."
We all struggle with something at some point or another (both in and out of this online business game). Truth is, motivation isn't always seen or even discovered in the most obvious of places; hence the relevancy of this article to those that will need it.
Suggestion: Implement the methods above that are most relatable or applicable to you and your everyday tasks as a Small Business Owner and Digital Marketer and go from there. You'll find that you've become a more focused, supercharged, and clear-headed thinker that is eager to dominate the Digital Marketing arena...the way you once did. :)
